Vicki is a native of the Hampton Roads area. She grew up in Virginia Beach in a military family and graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Psychology and Dance in 2006. Always having a passion for movement, she was involved with numerous performance ensembles in the area, as well as a traveling arts performance group (Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps) along with minoring in dance in college. The long hours of rehearsal and physical demands on her body led her to look for something to increase longevity and prevent injury while still continuing the activities she loved. Enter Pilates! After only a few sessions she could feel the difference and realized that not only should everyone be benefiting from Pilates, but that she wanted to help by teaching it! Vicki then completed her comprehensive training in Kansas City in 2008 and was certified through the Pilates Method Alliance in 2009. She is very active in the Pilates community and regularly attends nationwide conferences to continue learning and growing as an instructor
In addition to Pilates, Vicki also coaches and participates in CrossFit at a local gym in Norfolk. She believes CrossFit is a great addition to her Pilates practice because both disciplines rely on functional and proper movement patterns. You can find her participating in local competitions and fundraisers throughout the year.
Vicki currently resides in Norfolk with her husband Jason and two adorable rescue pups, Chloe and Chauncy.
